# Asia Pacific Cultural Center's New Year Celebration

The 28th annual APCC New Year festival filled the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall with lion dances, martial arts, more than 20 performances and a big vendor market.

## Why go

It's the biggest Lunar New Year party in the South Sound, and it's free. Each year the festival puts one Asia Pacific country in the spotlight; in 2026 it was Cambodia.

## What happens

More than 20 performances run through the day, along with lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, a vendor marketplace, food trucks and hands-on cultural activities for kids.

## Good to know

The 2026 edition ran 11am to 6pm in the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall. The Weekly Volcano's preview mentioned more than 100 vendors.

**Next year:** it usually lands on a late-February or early-March Saturday. APCC turns 30 in 2026, so watch its site for anniversary events.
