## Why go

It's a South Sound tradition that's been going for 93 years: daffodil-covered floats, marching bands and mounted units, more than 180 entries in all. It's also the only parade we know of that does four cities in a single day.

## What happens

The 2026 parade stepped off in Tacoma at 10:15am on Pacific Avenue, then repeated in Puyallup at 12:45pm, Sumner at 2:30pm and Orting at 5pm. If you miss the Tacoma leg, you can drive ahead and catch it again.

## Good to know

It's free, and the festival bills it as rain or shine. In 2026 the festival moved the parade a week earlier than usual so it wouldn't collide with the Spring Fair in Puyallup. The 2026 Daffodil Queen was Annika, the first queen from Eatonville High School.

**Next year:** usually the first or second Saturday in April. The festival posts the date and route maps on its site.
