## Why go

Model trains running through a history museum at the holidays. It's a good pick for train-obsessed kids on a wet December day.

## What happens

Model railroads run through the museum during the holidays, from 10am to 5pm.

## Good to know

It's included with museum admission. The listings we found run from December 18 through at least December 31, but the museum hadn't posted the full schedule, so check for January dates and any closed days. ParentMap's listing calls it both the 29th and the 30th annual festival.

**Next year:** the weeks between mid-December and New Year's.
