## Why go

Closing-day artist talks are the best kind: the work is all up, the artist is candid, and the Q&A goes places prepared remarks never do. McDonald — Penland-trained, Blown-Away-tested — closes out his Current award show.

## What happens

October 17, 1 to 2pm in the gallery: McDonald on his practice, research, and new body of work, followed by Q&A with curator Victoria Miles.

## Good to know

Free with museum admission (members free); registration encouraged. Pair it with Friday's glassblowing demo for the full McDonald weekend.
