## Why go

The rare festival where the food booths are the headliners: hand-made baklava and kataifi, gyros and calamari in the tent, and Greek dinners from the church kitchen, with folk dancers performing between bites.

## What happens

The annual festival at St. Nicholas, October 9–11: folkloric dance performances, church tours, a pastry shop and bakery, gyro/souvlaki/seafood booths, appetizers and full dinner entrees from the kitchen. Everything is cashless; cash can be loaded onto a free spending card at the cashier booth.

## Good to know

Admission is free; budget for food. Parking is tight — the church points drivers to the St. Joseph's Hospital lower lot and recommends the Light Rail from Tacoma Dome Station. Step-free access is available on 16th Street.
