## Why go

It's a Mid-Autumn celebration in a park built to remember Tacoma's 1885 expulsion of its Chinese residents. The setting is part of the point.

## What happens

The foundation's 14th annual Moon Festival drew on East Asian Mid-Autumn traditions, from 1 to 6pm.

## Good to know

The foundation's announcement didn't list an admission price. Restrooms at the park are listed as a future improvement, so plan ahead.

**Next year:** around the Mid-Autumn Festival, which follows the lunar calendar. Watch the foundation's news page in late summer.
