Why go
A warm hour inside the 1908 glasshouse at Wright Park. The plants are all grown a few miles away by the Parks Tacoma greenhouse team.
What happens
Open Wednesday, October 7 through Sunday, November 29, 10am to 3pm. The display runs the whole run: sunflowers, exhibition and garden chrysanthemums, ornamental peppers and coleus, chosen for autumn color and texture.
Good to know
Free, with a $3 suggested donation. The conservatory closes Monday and Tuesday. The event page header and the Parks Tacoma newsletter say 10am–3pm; the same page’s detail block lists 4pm. Confirm the closing time before you go.
Next year: the show runs from early October into late November each year; the following season’s dates weren’t posted when we checked.
