Why go
It’s a South Sound tradition that’s been going for 93 years: daffodil-covered floats, marching bands and mounted units, more than 180 entries in all. It’s also the only parade we know of that does four cities in a single day.
What happens
The 2026 parade stepped off in Tacoma at 10:15am on Pacific Avenue, then repeated in Puyallup at 12:45pm, Sumner at 2:30pm and Orting at 5pm. If you miss the Tacoma leg, you can drive ahead and catch it again.
Good to know
It’s free, and the festival bills it as rain or shine. In 2026 the festival moved the parade a week earlier than usual so it wouldn’t collide with the Spring Fair in Puyallup. The 2026 Daffodil Queen was Annika, the first queen from Eatonville High School.
Next year: usually the first or second Saturday in April. The festival posts the date and route maps on its site.
