Why go
Twenty-two years of ofrendas, a tapete, and a partnership with Mi Centro: TAM’s Día de los Muertos day is free if you reserve a timed entry, and you can stay as long as you like.
What happens
Sunday, November 1, 10am to 5pm. Community ofrendas by local artists and neighbors, a traditional tapete (sand painting), live music and dance, hands-on art-making, and food and artisan vendors. TAM had not posted the full performance schedule yet.
Good to know
Admission is free; contributions are welcome (the museum suggests $50). Registration is required: pick an arrival window, then stay. Masks that cover the entire face are not allowed; eye-and-upper-face masquerade masks are, and face paint may cover no more than half the face. Free parking behind the museum is limited.
Next year: this festival is annual; check TAM’s event page for the 2027 date, usually around November 1.
