Why go
Gig Harbor has held this race every Thanksgiving morning since 2002, and walkers and strollers are part of the plan.
What happens
The timed 5K loops the harbor. Walkers and strollers start near the back. Packet pickup is Wednesday, 2–6pm, at Chapel Hill Church, and race-day pickup starts at 7am on Judson Street.
Good to know
The online price holds through November 25 and doubles to $60 on race day. Kids 12 and under are free with preregistration. Bring two cans of food (no glass) to the start for local food banks. Dogs aren’t allowed on the course. Parking is tight downtown, so arrive early or get dropped off.
