Greentrike's holiday gingerbread-house decorating day, with a candy buffet and Santa, on the weekend after Thanksgiving. Proceeds support Greentrike's programs for kids and families.

Why go
Somebody else bakes the house and you bring the kids to cover it in candy. It’s a Thanksgiving-weekend tradition, and the money goes to Greentrike, which runs the Children’s Museum of Tacoma.
What happens
Gingerbread house decorating, a candy buffet and a visit from Santa. In 2025, a single admission included one prebuilt house, one ticket and one trip to the candy buffet, and a VIP package for big families included 10 tickets and five houses.
Good to know
Confirm the venue when you book. Greentrike’s 2026 event page lists its downtown address and an 11am start on both days. The 2025 Jamboree was held at Hotel Murano, 1320 Broadway. Everyone needs a ticket, including kids, and seating is limited. Tickets are sold at GingerbreadJamboree.org.
