Why go
Fermented cider turns up in the history of most places that keep fruit through a cold winter, and this is a small class at Fort Nisqually where you get to make some. You leave holding the result.
What happens
Saturday, November 7, 1pm to 4pm at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum. The class covers the history and process of cider making, fermentation and varieties — cider, cyser, melomel, pymot, braggot, mead — with instruction, demonstration and hands-on work. You leave with a cider of your own.
Good to know
$90 per person, registration required. You leave with cider you made. The Parks Tacoma events list shows 1–3pm for this date; the event page says 1–4pm. Confirm the time when you book.
