Why go

It’s the best day of the year to see and buy work by contemporary Native artists from around the Northwest, and all three museums are free that day.

What happens

An artisan market, live performances (11am to 4pm at the History Museum in 2026), a fashion show, art exhibitions, activities and food. Tacoma Art Museum also held a panel with artist Epiphany Couch at 2pm.

Good to know

2026 was the 21st year. The three museums host it together, with support from the City of Tacoma and the Tacoma Arts Commission. Glass Fest Northwest at the Museum of Glass falls on the same day, so you can do both.

Next year: a Saturday in early August. Check the History Museum or Tacoma Art Museum calendars.
