Why go
Halloween scaled for small children: daytime trick-or-treating, animals getting pumpkin enrichments, divers carving pumpkins underwater, and a costume parade with a monster-mash dance party.
What happens
October 17–18, 9am to 3pm daily. Costume parades leave the Picnic Pavilion at 10:15am and 1:15pm; underwater carving at 11am and 2pm; ghostly games and keeper chats run all day.
Good to know
Included with zoo admission or membership — check current admission prices. Explicitly a little-kids daytime event; evening scares belong to Hoot ‘n’ Howl at Northwest Trek instead.
