Check the year. Each display shows the years it was listed. People change their setups, move or take a year off; a listing doesn't confirm that the lights will return this winter.
There are no hours. Go after dark. Wind and rain knock displays over, so a calm, dry night is your best bet.
These are people's homes. Look from the car or the sidewalk, don't block driveways, and drive slowly. Grit City suggests leaving the owners a thank-you note.
