When the Asia Pacific Cultural Center needed more room, it didn’t move. It built up.
The new center opened on August 29, 2025, on the same lot at 4851 South Tacoma Way, inside the old building’s footprint, Northwest Asian Weekly reported. While it went up, the center ran out of temporary space on East Portland Avenue.
Inside are an art gallery, a performing arts center, a gift shop, a culinary kitchen, a garden, a library and a tearoom.
What’s on
Exhibitions change through the year. Taste of Asia, a cooking session where visitors learn a traditional dish, runs on the first Saturday of every month.
Nearby
Airport Tavern and Edison Square are farther south on South Tacoma Way.
