Emerald Queen Casino

The Emerald Queen Casino on East R Street is the Puyallup Tribe’s Tacoma casino, a $400 million building that opened in June 2020. Its artwork and architectural details were designed by Puyallup tribal members. The tribe runs a second Emerald Queen in Fife, on Pacific Highway East; this page is the Tacoma one.

The draw for anyone who doesn’t gamble is the EQC Event Center, with stadium seating for more than 1,800. It books touring concerts, comedians and MMA nights.

Shows

Show pages on the casino’s site give the date, door time and a Ticketmaster link. Ticket sales are final, and buying at the EQC Gift Shop in Tacoma can save up to 20%. The box office opens around 5pm on show days.

You must be 21 or older to come in.

The rest of the building

More than 2,100 slot machines and more than 60 table games, a 155-room hotel tower with views of Mount Rainier and Puget Sound, and six restaurants, including Slahal Steakhouse. There are more than 2,000 parking spaces.
