Why go
An hour of Point Defiance framed for small kids: what the plants and animals are doing as the season turns, at walking pace.
What happens
Saturday, October 17, 10am to 11am, meeting at the Fort Nisqually Picnic Shelter. A Parks Tacoma naturalist leads it. The next Fall Colors walk is listed for Saturday, November 14.
Good to know
Free, aimed at ages 3 and up, and it goes ahead rain or shine. Bring a rain layer rather than a rain plan — uneven ground, about an hour, slow pace. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Service animals welcome, pets are not. Restrooms at the picnic shelter.
