Why go

Two hours in Point Defiance’s old-growth forest with a Park Guide who knows where the eagles and woodpeckers hang out. It’s free, and you don’t need to sign up.

What happens

Sunday, October 25, 9am to 11am. Meet at the entrance gate to Five Mile Drive, just past the Owen Beach road turn-off. The walk happens on the fourth Sunday of every month, rain or shine.

Good to know

Bring binoculars if you have them; the guides have extras to lend. Expect up to three miles on unpaved, uneven trail. Questions go to the Park Guides at (253) 345-4617.
