Why go
Few marathons start by crossing a suspension bridge. Sunday’s course goes over the Narrows Bridge, through Point Defiance and over the Wilson Way bridge before it drops down to the water.
What happens
Saturday has the 5K, the 10K, a Kids 1K and the Ghost of Tacoma marathon and half. On Sunday, the marathon and half marathon run point to point. The half finishes at Dune Peninsula, and the full continues along the waterfront to a turnaround near the Museum of Glass.
Good to know
We couldn’t confirm 2026 entry fees. The 2027 registration page starts at $50 for the 5K and $100 for the half marathon, and prices go up after December 31, 2026.
